- The theme for our 2025 NOG event was “thin places,” a geographic location or state of mind where the boundaries between the physical and metaphysical are easily crossed. Authors and NOG co-founders Tom Titus and Eric Alan are joined by writer Melissa Hart, poet Jorah LaFleur, and musicians Halie Loren, Daniel Gallo, Laura DuBois, Don Latarski, Nisha Calkins, and David Jacobs-Strain. Don Latarski and Eric Alan also provide photographic inspiration. Our program raised money and awareness for Black Thistle Street Aid, an integrative team of volunteer medical practitioners, herbalists & advocates providing access to free healthcare through direct outreach & pop-up clinics to people experiencing houselessness in the Eugene-Springfield area.
